i wouldn't do jet. i would do something a little lighter. jet can be really severe. with the yellowish olive skin tone you need the reddish brown in your hair to make you look warmer in the face area.

I did this once and have the same yellowish olive tones. It made me appear older and the black can be harsh. If you have any curl to your style at all, it tends to look too blended with not much definition. Very little light reflects when it is not natural. Why not try golden highlights threaded in naturally? Anytime you use black dye on your hair it can eventually look too monotone and chalky. Trust me I have been there done that!

I think jet black hair will look great against your skin tone, and long as you don't tan. Keep your olive tone. You will looke beautiful.

Well, from what I've seen, don't.
I have 2 Asian friends with the 'typical' Asian skintone, and their hair is on the lighter side of black, and when they both dyed it jet black it look horrible on them and no to mention very fake. Unless you're going for the fake look, I suggest you don't do jet black.

Jet black is classic beauty on asians! Of course it would look great, but brown hair on you will also look great. It's the inner beauty that counts. ; ) Try Loreal Preference if you choose to dye your hair jet black. It's a top ranked product.

If yer fairskinned, the contrast in skin tone to hair color will be quite stunning.. very eastern european (russian, ukraine, etc..). But as odd as it sounds, if you have ever watched people with their natural hair colors, theres a reason they usually look better with that than any color job... its like our genetic makeup knows, ok, Blonde/brunette/redhead is perfect for her and thats what were going with.... i say dont screw with what god gave ya hun. Im blonde, and i have attempted black and red and brown, and even pink and cobalt blue LOL.... so i speak from personal experience.

Just make sure that you are willing to live with it for the next few years and are willing to deal with growing it out after your done with it. You can't really bleach out black - you have to strip it and it will change the texture of your hair until you grown it out again.

I think it would look good. Dark hair is very sexy, especially on someone with olive skin

It depends. If our hair is thick, it might look nice. If it is thin, sometimes black hair can make your scalp more obvious and that is probably not the look you are going for!

I have been wanting to do this forever! But my hair stylist always tries to talk me out of it. Mainly, he says that it is too hard to change the color or go "back" to your more normal color once you do it that dark. So in my opinion, only do it if you're sure you won't regret it
