This question is mainly for people with small dogs. what places do you take them with you to? I know at our malls they aren't allowed, but I still see people walking around with them. Video stores, banks...?? I want to take mine with me, but don't want to get asked to leave everywhere I go. I know grocery stores and restaraunts are off limits. But where can I take her besides Petsmart and Petco?

they have little strollers for dogs, now..they are adorable, and as they are covered with screen, no one would know it was a dog, unless they came over to see your baby! lol
they also have little carry cases for dogs..Looks like a purse..same thing, they are covered with mesh, so it is not easy to see the little dog..

My best friend has a "pocket dog" that we take everywhere with us. I think the only place she hasn't been into have been stores that sell food. But she goes to the mall, the movie store, Best Buy, etc. As mentioned, the only issues we've had are in taking her to places like Target that you can sometimes forget sell food. Lily (her pup) is pretty well behaved too, so that helps alot. She doesn't make a fuss about much, so they don't always know that she's there. Her bag is pretty classy looking, it just looks like a large purse.

I have a Chihuahua and she has been to California, New Jersey,New York, Miami..., in stores ..although some stores do not allow, Sams club a no no...but if you put him/her in a bag that looks like a purse, mine opened at the front so she could just lean her head out in areas we were allowed to go, and it has a flap that I closed at times we could not, no one knows the difference even in a restaurant. It looks like a purse and you can get them at finer vet areas or online, although don't get caught in a place your not sure because they will ask you to leave..

I took my dog to shopping malls, the vet, restaurants, my friends' places, parks, wakeboarding. I was once asked to leave a restaurant even though I put her in a bag.
My dog loves to go to parks and my friends' places but I don't think she enjoyed being kept inside a bag for 2 hours while I was dining, so now I seldom brings her to restaurants.

mine goes the post office with me (they don't like it but he does), I took him in the bank once and they rudely asked me to leave (some people are allergic to dogs),when I travel he stays in the motel with me, he goes everywhere with me..he may have to stay in the car (weather permit) but he goes everywhere...he loves taco bell drive there and the banks drive there. I took mine into the cingular place to pay my bill...I would think that any plkace that doesn't sell food or maybe clothes (attracts hair) would be OK unless there are signs on the doors.

My personal opinion is that dogs should stay in the car (weather permitting) unless the place specifically states that they allow and WELCOME pets. People who "sneak" their dogs into places just for kicks can ruin it for people with legitimate service animals (seeing eye dogs, hearing ear dogs, handicapped assistance dogs). If you insist on doing this and people get angry, people who need their service dogs may not be allowed in there anymore. Please think about your actions and don't be selfish.

I take mine with me to the mall to visit Santa and/or visit the dog boutique. They go with me to any restaurant that has outdoor seating. They've gone with me to work, church, etc.

this is gonna be rude...but i think you are ridiculas. dogs are just that, dogs. u don't take your dog to the mall or the grocery store. come on now. i was getting the oil changed in my car, i was sitting in the waiting room, and a woman walks in with a beagle mix. it wasn't a bad dog or anything, but it was the stupidest thing i had seen in a while. WHY?
