Hello. I am a 24 yr old guy with lust problem. Today is probably one of the worst days in my life. After 1 week of abstinence from porn/masturbation, I relapsed again, giving into the lure of porn/mb. I can't stop but wonder at this point whether there is a hope.
I tried therapy, self-help book, filter, Internet Accountability software, hobbies, willpower and prayers. And yet, I still failed tonight. I am so depressed and heartbroken to even think about my slip tonight let alone my future dealing with this.
I wonder about God's intention for me. Why did God make me this way or vulnerable to porn/mb? Why did God bring me to this world if only to let me endure this unberable pains? I tried extremely hard to stay away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex and succeeded in that. But not porn/mb. Why is God not intervening or helping me when I am suffering so much inside enduring struggles upon struggles?

Don't worry about trying to stop all at once, just take it day by day. Have you tried having accountability in person? That might be more helpful. We are all vulnerable to sin my friend, its just different people have different weakness or problems. Mine for example is I'm gay and I want delieverance from it, but I'm content to whatever God has in mind for me. Hang in their buddy.

I want to start off with I'm sorry that you were doing so well, and slipped up tonight. Things happen, and sometimes, we just can't control what our actions are.

But, you must first know, that God is not responsible for those actions we take. We are not his puppets, we have free will. Anything we say or do is because that is what WE want, not what God tells us to do. When you find yourself in these situations, take a walk, read a book--the Bible, watch some old movies, do anything you can to keep your mind off of porn and masturbation. Start going to church so you can find peace within yourself, and peace with God, so you can learn it is not God's fault.

When you are trying to stay away from something you want so bad, that is when the devil makes you weak. That is when he comes in and tells you, it's ok, do it, noone's gonna know but you. He's a sneaky coniving thing, and he is what makes us do the bad things we do. I quit smoking last year, I had quit for 5 months, and I gave in and started again. Everytime I tell myself I'm going to stop, I get the worst cravings for it, and end up smoking more than before. It is not God, it's the devil, he knows what our weaknesses are, and he thrives off of it. We just have to be stronger than him, and when you feel that he is over-powering you, tell yourself that God is stronger, and he will help you through this. You must pray very hard, every night, and when you really want to stop, God will help you.

There are two foreseeable solutions: 1) death, and 2) marriage. Ultimately, there is only one solution: The grace and mercy of God. IF Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, then you have all the grace and mercy you need from Almighty God. However, this does not give you a license to keep sinning.

So, you keep fighting the good fight until God brings you either physical death or a good wife. When you fall, get back up and ask Christ to forgive you yet again (but keep fighting). Proverbs says that seven times a righteous man falls and seven times he gets back up. Christ says to forgive someone not just seven times but seventy times seven. So if He expects us to forgive eachother's screwups 490 times, I'm sure He's able to forgive much more than that.

Now, if Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, you better ask him to be right now or else that sin will count against you with very bad eternal consequences. But if He is then He's already taken your punishment for that sin, so just keep fighting and praying and waiting.

A man's weekness is a woman. Sometimes I wonder if I'm sinning if I put on my tightest jeans or my breast crack is revealing because it will cause another man to look at me in a perverted way. That's why I try to cover myself up. But what it sounds like to me, is you need to do a lot of praying and fasting because believe it or not prayer works.

I want to let you know God loves you very much. God will never leave you nor forsake you. You may want to go to a church that has a deliverance ministry. The minister's in the deliverance ministry will help you along with God's help through these minister's. You will be surprised it is not your fault. It is a generational curse from who knows how far back in your family roots.

First of all, GOD KNEW YOU WOULD HAVE WEAKNESSES, He knows you will not be perfect. Its hard to quit something when you are pressuring yourself to quit. You must be transformed by the renewing of your mind. OK IN REAL WORDS, CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEEL ABOUT PORN, AND YOU WILL STOP. JUST START SAYING TO YOURSELF, I DONT LIKE WATCHING SIN, WHY DO I LIKE WATCHING WHAT I CANNOT HAVE, WHY AM I SUPPORTING THE ACTORS WHO ARE MAKING THESE MOVIES, THAT CAUSE PEOPLE TO FEEL BAD. I AM A BETTER PERSON THAN TO BE HOOKED ON THIS. You can do it.

All men understand my brother. Bless your honesty.
Remember, conviction is G-dly, but guilt is from Satan. You recognize it is sin. Bless you. Keep repenting, keep praying. Perhaps you want to try CR...a 12 step recovery group based on Jesus. Google "celebrate recovery" for a local meeting. I go sometimes, men talk about sex issues, alot of things.

Your will? 1thes5:16 "be joyful always, pray continually and give thanks in ALL situations (even this one) for this is G-d's will for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Bless you brother email me anytime

Why are you not looking for yourself for answers?
Why not hold yourself accountable rather than looking to place blame on some giant sky being who won't snap his fingers and make you better?
"seek, and ye shall find" is true, but you must seek within yourself.
