I got myself stuck in that kinda of a situation and I'm 20 which to me is a little young to be feeling that way about someone. It is something you can help though. For me I could have stopped feeling that way if I wasn't so rapped up on the guy and didn't feel like he was the single reason my life was good. It's not a good situation to be in because right now the person that was my everything and my world revolved around doesn't talk to me as much so it's rough when you base your world around them and then they really aren't there anymore to go on with your life normally. I mean it can be a good situation if your married to someone and it can be a nice feeling to have. But, It's kinda hard because you do come to a point where you feel like you need them back in your life and how will you go on without them. But, life does go on and it takes time to heal the pain you feel when you no longer have them in your life.

Of course it's obsession. If you're not the most important person in your own life, you need to prioritize a little better. I agree with you completely — if a guy liked me that much, I'd take out a restraining order.

well it's just a saying. and yeah i think it's a little obsessing to make someone your complete everything etc. being in love is an awesome feeling and it's just caring about that person and being there for them.

The true apex of true Love is total selflesness. A good example of this is Arwen and Aragorn. She sacrificed to be with him her immortailty. All though this is fiction it shows the depth of true love. I believe true Love is selfless and looks out for the other person. This is absolutely completely rare and almost unheard of these days. Obsession is when you want something for yourself. When you go from selflesness to selfish it is no longer love it is lust.

The true meaning of you are my everything is loving the person so deeply you do not look at life with the person. To want to wake up next to this person the rest of your life. To have the desire to share your world, your pains, your happiness, your desires needs and wants. The person that is your everything is not meaning you are you only for them, it mean you are a unity with that person

I tell my husband that all the time. It's not obsessive,I just want him to know how much I love him.

I hope that when someone says that it is metaphorical - like, they're so inspired by you that you give them new reason to live life to the fullest and be their best, that it seems like before, they had "nothing" - otherwise if it's literal, yeah I think it sounds a bit whacked

Love is a sacrafice. Everyones first love is there self. To Love someone else that means you love them more then you love yourself. The only way to trully love someone is to have that same feeling given back to you.

It's unrealistic. I love my boyfriend more than I knew it was possible to love someone, and he has plenty of traits that I don't love. And I know he feels the same about me.

Probably when someone says that they wanna love you. They wanna show you how much you mean to them.Your so important to them you seem like everything.I'm not sure if its bad or good.If you don't wanna love them back then don't.If you did love them you would respect it.
