Don't do either or, then you won't have to find out the dangers of either. :]

Tough one, but I think Alcohol is worse.
Marijuana is a supposed "gateway" to other, harder, more addictive drugs. Heavy marijuana users (those addicted, not casual users) are also kinda burned out (talk slow, neglect their hygeine ect).
Those addicted to alcohol eventually have their lives totally destroyed. They have difficulty maintaining employment, often do unsafe things, such as fighting, drunk driving ect. Personality can become abusive and you can wind up isolated from your family and friends.
Chronic depression also accompanies heavy use of either Alcohol or Marijuana.
Its a photo finish, but I think alcohol will screw up your life more if you were to get addicted.
Occasional use and even occasional overindulgence doesn't make you an alcoholic or an addict (in the case of marijuana) though.

both can... alcohol affects both the mind and body which can cause wet brain and liver disease and marijuana really only affects the mind more and can cause perma trip.. either way if it is abused one to many times either can cause the mind to not be there anymore and then that person just ends up crazy... It screws up all aspects of life period- because it's addiction and addiction is one of the most powerful things out there.. It's an awful thing for anyone to have to go through and craziness is the result of one to many people thinking they can go out just one more time. It is not only a physical addiction it is all so a mental one as well and when addicted the only thing that the mind and body needs is that next fix, it's a very sad thing to get sucked into and allot of people assume that it's a matter of self control and weakness which it's niether.. It has nothing to do with control and anyone can have that,,, it is a disease just like cancer and it is the same in the aspect that is can move really slow or spread right a way like wild fire through a person, the disease usually is slow and progresses into an ugly monster and at that point you have to get the fix just to get up out of bed in the morning to beable to function, just other normal people and when you don't have it, it hurts like h e ll and makes you want to jump out of your skin and do what ever you have to just to feel normal agian. It is both cumpulsion of the mind and body and I wouldn't wish this on even my worst enemy... only 3 out of every ten actually make it... I pray every day that I continue to be one of the 3...

Alcohol.
Marijuana can screw you up with the legal system, but for the most part, is nowhere near as damaging to the body as alcohol.
Alcohol changes the structure of the brain (black outs, dry drunk issues, smoothing of the cerebral cortex - which means you "get dumber" and have less memory function, mutates nerve paths, wrecks your liver and kidneys, and can also lead to chemical addiction.
The one exception I might make for marijuana is the lungs - marijuana tears up the lungs worse than the nastiest cigarette. Cruising for lung cancer and emphysema.
Both potentially stunt emotional maturity, and both can become addictive, although marijuana usually has a stronger hold as an emotional addiction, rather than chemical.

There's no easy answer to this question. Marijuana fans will have you believe that it's weed, and very few people will stand up for alcoholics.
I think it really depends on what areas of your life get screwed up. If you get caught with weed, you'll have more severe consequences than if you get "caught" with alcohol. But if you drive drunk and hurt someone, you're toast.
Just do caffeine.

Any addiction is bad for you, mentally and usually physically. Abuse of either alcohol or marijuana will cause problems in your life and in your relationships (family as well as romantic), and isn't worth it just for a dependency issue.

depends. Marijuanas been shown to wreak some havoc on your brain, and alcohol on your liver. Pick your vice wisely, I guess.

I feel both are equally dangerous. But if you ask me ...someone who is abusing any type of drugs already has a screwed up life so what would it matter what drug is worse ???
