I used to parrot the statement that the Bible doesn't contradict itself, but it does, and welcome to just one of them.
The only explanations I've heard, is that God allowed it then (genetically), but it doesn't actually say that anywhere, plus there's no way around the fact that the Bible says not to do it, but apparently the entire human race is incestuous, if we all started from essentially one couple.

The Bible does not contain any errors. After God gave Moses the laws, that was when incest and lot of the other sins came in to play. May God Bless

Yes there are errors in the bible. It was a work of man. Divinely inspired, I agree. But a work of man none the less.
If you want an example, look at similar accounts of Jesus and the Fig tree. One account say the tree died instantly, another says the prophet went back some time later and found it dead.
Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find more.
Now, In the old testament, the law was clear on what animals were 'unclean'. In the New Testament, God told Peter that all animals of the world were made "spiritually clean"
If I really put some work into it, I could find many more. But the point is, The Holy Bible is a Divinely Inspired work of Man.
Best wishes.

No, you are wrong, you need to study the Bible before you try and look so brilliant. The Bible clearly says where there is no law neither is there violation. There was no law until the Levitical law that made incest a sin. Before that it was not. Just like murder, after the law murderers were to be put to death, but Cain the first murderer was judged by God himself, and not put to death. God does not change.

Okay, first of all, if you're going to quote the Bible, maybe YOU should read the whole thing instead of taking things out of context. God commanded Adam and Eve to go forth and multiply. Actually, I think that this is a silly thing to be arguing about, because it never actually mentions specifically where Cain and Able's wives came from. But even if the entire lineage of mankind can be traced to Adam and Eve, what are you complaining about? And if you don't believe, that is certainly your choice. One cannot chose to accept God, because only the Holy Spirit can affect that decision. However, one can harden his heart and reject God.
By the way, what translation of the Bible are you using, and what verse are you quoting? Because, I can't seem to find it. And, frankly, I think that you are taking it out of context and I can't help you understand if I don't know where you're reading from.

No God didn't change His mind, He allowed it for a season and because He created us He knew what would happen if we continued to limit our gene pool...
I like that your brave enough to say that, wasn't there a nicer way??? (Chuck Swindoll was saying on our local Christian Radio station that when you attack the saints (that is any Christian) you are attacking God's Kingdom...
Don't worry I struggle with mainting good attitudes towards Christians some times because they allow themselves to be defeated, by not knowing the word of God, by not living it, and most importantly not claiming the blessings (nor doing the prerequisites.)
I am working very hard on that issue, and I am learning to admire the efforts that they do make... Enough people will persecute them as I have witnessed all to frequently here...
I am glad you know your Bible. Hebrews 13:8 I am the same yesterday today and forever...
Leviticus 15-18 has all those rules about sex and stuff...

Speaking of studying your Bibles, Christians need to study more then scripture to thoroughly comprehend the meaning of scripture. Take the book Genesis. The book of Genesis was written by Hebrew people in a historical context of enslavement by the Babylonians conquerors to counter the indoctrination of the Babylonian polytheistic (multiple gods) faith onto their monotheistic (one god) faith. Read the Babylonian faith story, the Epic of Gilgamesh, which historically preceded the book of Genesis and was being force fed upon the Hebrew people. Then you might understand that the Hebrew writings of Genesis were contextual writings and were not intended to be literal. Notice also how they modified the original flood story and other similarities and a clearer pictures emerges. In addition, the stories of Genesis were not written as myths, simply Hebrew stories of faith in their one god -- Yahweh. But maybe a better idea would be to heed the advice of the writer of Ecclesiates: "Everything is meaningless...utterly meaningless" (1:2).

A - Incest was not a sin until the Law was given to Moses. The reason for this would be that the gene pool was starting to become flawed due to disease - and hence it would start to produce birth defects.
B - Yes - GOD does not change - but we do. Don't take the Bible out of context dude.

The fact that God lets some things happen at times, doesn't mean he changes. He also led His people in battles and oh, yeah, killing is also a sin. Why don't YOU make sure YOU understand what you're reading and keep in mind that the scripture also states that there's a lot of things we are never going to fully understand until He comes back and explains it to us.

No errors.
God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and to multiply.
God eventually told men to not have sex with family members in Leviticus. The partners were to change, but the directive to multiply goes on.
