if you are looking for religion, or are wanting to learn more on why so many people believe there is a God, and have religions, the best start would be to read the Bible.

Do you have a religion? are you searching for one? I know there alot of people who don't know much about God, and religion, because growing up, they were never taught about religion, or God, or Jesus. If you want to read some REALLY good books, something that will open your heart a little more, and maybe make you live differently, read the Left Behind series. There are many books to this series, so start off with the first one. It's kind of hard to put down once you start, but it's kind of a "what if" scenerio, like when the end of the days are here, and what would happen to all those who have not accepted Jesus (been saved), it's a story that really opens your eyes, and it doesn't have to be for people who are religious....

When I was around 10 years old I read a book named "2150AD" by Thea Alexander. It is a small book that uses fiction to describe Macro Philosophy (which is a little different than a religion in that it doesn't involve deities). I added my beliefs in deities to it, but the principles of the book are still the basis for my beliefs. It is a little dated now (it was written in the 70's) but still has much food for thought and I love to reread it. My favorite quote from the book is, "The measure of a mind's evolution is its acceptance the unacceptable". Interesting book.

If you want to read about my faith, Wicca, I would suggest either:

"The Truth About Witchcraft Today" by Scott Cunningham
"Wicca, A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham
or
"To Ride a Silver Broomstick" by Silver Ravenwolf.

The first book listed is probably the best book to just get an understanding of what Wicca is without wanting to be one. The rest are considered required reading for just about anyone who first enters "the Craft"

Well the once that come to mind first are:
"Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham
"21 Lessons of Merlyn" by Douglas Monroe (great stories about Arthur!)
"To Stir a Magick Cauldron" by Silver Ravenwolf

Any book by Scott Cunningham or Silver Ravenwolf is usually pretty good. I don't agree with all their views but they are pretty close to my own. I am merely a melting pot of what I learn! BB Sdw
