I constantly hear that fruit is really nasty, but is there anyone who actually likes it. I've never tried it, but i know its a sucky gift to get for Christmas.

Oh, yea! fruit, think of approximately cherry's... mango's, watermelon etc. I hate fruit cake exceedingly while i discover extremely orange pores and skin in it I hate the flavor of orange peel and that i do no longer likely like cake till this is the only and easily cheese cake. :o)

My mother likes it, but I know of no one else in the world who does like that dried fruit stuff they use in the cakes..Lately a bunch of modern recipes have come out using canned or jarred fruit which is really good. Put in fruit cakes, and/or friendship cake and you should get some recipes....

I make a "white fruit cake" that is delicious. I use lemon extract and not all those really sharp tasting spices.
I really don't like the real dark ones that seem to bite you back!

no not really it was just a delicacy a long time ago when fruit was hard to come by so it ment a lot and+ it is also mass produced so nothing never tastes as good as it should

I think fruit cake is very good.These days they have all those cheap fruit cakes,and they are not good.If you get a good fruitcake they have really good fruit and nuts in them.It all depends on how much it cost .....You can order fruit cakes from really good bakeries and they are wonderful...If you plan to try one get a good one ,not one of those cheapo.s and you will learn to appreciate fruitcake...........
