If what they claim is true, that all people came from the first man and woman, Adam and Eve...
...then that means that after A & E had kids, then the kids (brothers and sisters) hooked up to perpetuate the human species. All mankind comes from generations of incest and inbreeding! (yay. gotta like that...) "Hey sis. Wanna rock on this for a bit?" LOL...yeah, right...
AND...it doesn't stop there!
Following the "great flood" blah-blah... Noah's family walks off the Ark. Nobody else, just them. So, for a SECOND TIME, "god" creates the playing field whereby generations and generations of incest and inbreeding are required to perpetuate the human race.
Oh, and of course, all the animals come off the ark and it's the same thing. They all come from generations and generations of incest and inbreeding, too!
But hey! You can't question the "word" right? No matter how utterly ridiculous and counterintuitive and illogical it is...?

Incest is bad...unless it is the will of god. Adultery is bad...unless it is the will of god. Murder is bad...unless it is the will of god. Genocide is bad....unless it is the will of god. Infantcide is bad...unless it is the will of god. Seem like a similar theme to you? The religious zealot can justify any heneous act, it's ridiculous

We do believe that Adam was the first man and Eve was the first woman and that all humanity descended from them.
Notice that it is you who has attached the word incest to that which God had designated as lawful.
Therein lies your dilemma. It is the motives for reading the Bible that determines whether one will understand or misunderstand the Bible.
Wrong motives = wrong understanding
Right motives = right understanding
If the thoughts are wrong, the feelings will be wrong and the thoughts and the feelings combined make up the moral character.
It became sinful and incestuous after man's mind became degraded. Apparently, from your statement, man's mind is continuing to be debased.
The mind that resists truth will see everything in a perverted light.
The word of God is unreasonable to the natural, depraved state of human nature. Selfishness cannot grasp the incomprehensible love of God even when it is right in front of its face.
If the human mind has a predisposition against God, will the human mind try to love and understand God ?
It is not logical. It is utterly ridiculous and counterintuitive to think so.

We did come from 2 people, but if God actually chose to use a group and created the human soul in 2 of that group, nobody can prove one way or the other. Nobody really knows, and it doesn't really matter.
You simply cannot take the first 5 chapters of Genesis as entirely literal, or you come up with the ridiculous conclusions that you have.
Pope Pius XII warned us, "What is the literal sense of a passage is not always as obvious in the speeches and writings of the ancient authors of the East, as it is in the works of our own time. For what they wished to express is not to be determined by the rules of grammar and philology alone, nor solely by the context; the interpreter must, as it were, go back wholly in spirit to those remote centuries of the East and with the aid of history, archaeology, ethnology, and other sciences, accurately determine what modes of writing, so to speak, the authors of that ancient period would be likely to use, and in fact did use. For the ancient peoples of the East, in order to express their ideas, did not always employ those forms or kinds of speech which we use today; but rather those used by the men of their times and countries. What those exactly were the commentator cannot determine as it were in advance, but only after a careful examination of the ancient literature of the East" (Divino Afflante Spiritu 35–36).

Yeah yeah, blah blah. You need to really read and understand the scriptures and keep in mind that God the creator "can do" the impossible.
In todays fallen world, inbreeding is a problem, but not a proven problem. Anymore than evolution is a proven fact.

You're getting way too anal about this. There were no laws against incest at the time, and the bloodline had not deteriorated as yet.
What's yucky to us today was par for the course in another age, and vice-versa.

When that all took place, God hadn't established any laws forbidding it and He didn't establish the whole geneology concept until later when God had Moses write the laws.

Well... nobody else (except their families) survived.
So... no other choice... incest must happen :p
But, in this current time, we still have millions and millions choice.
