Since it is obvious that the Democratic Congress will mandate no funds for a continued war in Iraq and our troops will finally come home will Muslims try to pollitically make peace or just continue this so-called holy war. How can such a policy be defended by member of their own faith?

I'm a practising mulim.

Quran says in many places, that when the enemy is inclined for peace, u also incline for peace.

by the law of the Quran, they should stop this so called 'holy war' becaus this is not 'holy war'.

this is just a war to gain for themselves

The reason for the conflict between Israel and the Arabs is that the Arabs, plain and simple, refuse to accept a Jewish state in their midst. They invented this whole idea of a "Palestinian people who deserve a state" just to use as a tool to dismember Israel.

Prior to partition, Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as having a separate identity. When the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations met in Jerusalem in February 1919 to choose Palestinian representatives for the Paris Peace Conference, the following resolution was adopted:

"We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds.

"There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria."
- Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, a local Arab leader, to the Peel Commission, 1937

As to how to solve the problem, the only way would be for Israel to have an overwhelming defeat of the Arabs and then dictate the terms for peace. Otherwise, the Arabs will never stop trying to destroy Israel.

how would u and ur grandchildren react if my grandchildren come after 100 yrs awith a book and say that the property u live in was given to me by God? will u leave ur home for me?

the last time the talks were going on, Palestine had a request that they will accept Israel as a state if Israel promises to rebuild Gaza and Palestinian locales they ruined. but Israel did not agree to that.

Islam is one religion that gave Identity and to judaism as a religion. Islam is a religion which accepted the beleifs, the prophets and the Holy Books of both Christianity and Judaism but it is not the vice versa. Allah calls jews and christians and muslims --"People of the Book". they are with us as we are with them, save those who take anyone else besides God. also Allah has the same reward and punishments, same Heaven and Hell -- for them. they will all be judged based on their DEEDS not religion.

also it is not muslims vs israel. one state israel vs another state palestine.

Muslims will make peace when justice is finally done toward them. Read Jimmy Carter's new book "Peace not Apartheid" and really see the insider's view from someone who's tried to make peace in that region as president. I'm not even a democrat and I think EVERY American who's curious about WHY things are the way they are NEEDS to read this book.

Of direction Israel is a terrorist nation. The complete populace is drafted for the navy, deficient younger Israelis are recruited for the navy. They train systematic ethnic cleaning in opposition to the Palestinians, killed over a million, three hundred Palestinians and destroyed over 20,000 HOMES in lower than three weeks. They keep to devote one bloodbath after the opposite...if that is no longer terrorism, I have no idea what it's anymore..

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

O Children of Israel! remember My favours which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me, I will fulfil My covenant with you, and Me alone should you fear.

O Children of Israel! remember My favours which I bestowed upon you and that I exalted you above the peoples of the time.

And remember the time when We took a covenant from the Children of Israel: 'You shall worship none but God and be kind to parents and to kindred and orphans and the poor, and speak to men kindly and observe prayer, and pay the Zakat.' then you turned away in aversion, except a few of you.

1-complete pull out from ALL the occupied territories (1948 borders).

It seems you don't understand the fact that the Zionists and their puppets in the U.S. government are the major source of problems in the Middle East.
