You CAN but you may lose some deductions. I would definately check with a CPA - they can advise you as to what works best for YOU.

Yes you can, but I would consult a tax preparer. You cannot use the "single" status on your return if you are married on December 31. You can use the "Married filing separately", but this is the HIGHEST tax rate you would pay.

submitting individually disallows the EIC, if it is a component for you whilst you get married and likewise you're required to make use of the equal system ie. both the normal deduction or the itemized which in a few circumstances penalizes one or the opposite of the spouses you will have any one get ready your taxes, they must recognize which might be the higher method so that you can dossier I can have an understanding of your new partner to desire to keep his singular popularity even if married, such a lot of time even 'well' marriages move dangerous and the co mingling turns into a nightmare

File as married filing separately - yes, you can, but it might cost you extra taxes compared to filing jointly.
File as single or head of household - no.

Filing separately still does not remove the "marriage penalty." It ended up not being worth it for me and my wife.

Caution if you are in a community property state. You have to report half of his and he has to report half of yours.
