I don't smoke marijuana, I just went to the eye doctor and he didn't know, they don't hurt, I can see OK, spend about 6 hours a day on the computer and about 3 hours a day watcing TV, what can it be? I had mild rosacea a couple of years ago but it cleared up.

People tend to blink a lot less when on the computer, this is probably drying your eyes out. Try investing in OTC drops such as systane or refresh tears (stay away from visine) and use at least 4x a day.

that's probably from the rosacea...there is no real cure and it doesn't always stay away..surprisingly my eye MD didn't bring that up..it was my dermatologist who did...she put me on tetracycline for a couple of months because I always get the dry sandy eye feeling....HOWEVER your eye MD should have told you to get off the computer that LONG per day and then watch another 3 hrs of TV?! that's 9 hours of your day and maybe 8 sleeping...do the math...your eyes are tired!! what do you do the other 8 hours?!

I think you've overexerted your eye muscles with near visual tasks. Our eyes are designed to track movements, much like hunting. It's just not natural to lock them in one position for an extended period of time. If not, my next guess would be inadequate fluid intake.

doesn't sound serious, probably due to irritation or allergies or this could be normal. How long is this going on ?
