I am just curious about how meat stays good at room temp. Such as chicken in soup, and this turkey and stuffing meal I bought from Hormel, its a full meal, in a vacum sealed container, but was just wondering how it stayed fresh not being cold.

first of all, it has been pasteurized, which means all the germs were killed, then it is sealed in a sterile container, where no germs or bacteria can grow...this is why you want to be careful if a can is dented...you want to make sure the dent hasn't broken the seal, and if you open the container, then immediately refrigerate any unused portions.
