I want to buy this beautiful all white blue eyed pitbull puppy, but every apartment I went to won't allow pits. Does anyone know of an apt in Tallahassee that allows pits?

For those who can't look past the attack on the pitbulls reputation, please refrain from answering. Start your own question on why people want pits. And next time you want to attack the pit why don't you look up actual stats. The pitbull is not even among the top 3 of dog bite injuries.

Pits are dangerous for society. Why do you think apartments allow Chihuahua's and cats and NOT pit bulls? If they allow animals at all there is a deposit for them?

Think about it? They don't allow them why????????????????

Rent a private home with a fence to contain the pit. If you have to own one then you have to obied by the laws of ownership of a dangerous breed.

Unfortunately, you're going to run into prejudice...especially if you say "pitbull". I agree that American Staffordshire Terrier will at least get you past some of that. There are apartment complexes in Tallahassee that allow dogs, as do some other rental situations. But usually there is a weight restriction. Most apt landlords are OK with small dogs, not big ones. I'd check in the Tallahassee Democrat, or pick up one of those apartment rental guides, and see if they allow pets. Then you can pose the question about "which" pets they allow. Good luck.

Personally I know Tallahassee dogs and the breeders are pures, so the coincidence is that there is kennel. You cannot
keep a dog. No matter what you want to do with a dog it is
better off with a kennel visit. Check for dog volunteering if you
do ok within a month you will get walker assignments and keep
the dog for visits. Nearly any Tallahassee apartments in the
beach conservation allows the visit package, some have a
kennel volunteer (job). Watching the in house club kennel
at apartments in Miller, Williams, Dexter, Klein sponsors have
such overnite dog kennels on site, for short, short stays.

I live in fla hun and you are not going to find an apt to take your pitt cause you are a renter . I have lived in fla all my life and my brother was also a renter and he could not find an apartment that was decent to take his pitt so he ended up moving in with our mom and dad again . He had to buy a house with some property and he had to also obtain more house insurance because of his mortgage company telling him that because he owned a "vicious dog" he had to come up with alot more money . It almost broke him just simply because he wanted one of these dogs. good luck and god bless and happy holidays. oh and he still has probs with the neighbors everytime a cat ends up dead on the street my brothers dog gets blamed . he is frequently visited by animal control. so be sure to keep your shots frequent on your dog.

Allow pits?

Why do you want a dog?

Try some of the larger apartment complexes. Some of them allow you to have an animal.

Since you are talking about a pitbull (which is a type of dog, not a breed) just say the dog is a terrier + lab mix, or a boxer mix.

Pitbulls are not apartment dogs. Sorry. You might also try calling the dog an American Staffordshire Terrier instead of the dreaded "pitbull" name.

Because pit bulls are law suits waiting to happen. i don't blame them for blocking you, I would be glad to live in a apt building that didn't allow them. Watch Animal Planet and see what the Humane Society thinks of Pit bulls. Not nice. Get a poodle...save a friend.

Try to disclose the fact that you have a dog but not what kind. Dogs are only mean if they are taught to be. Its a learned behavior in all metally sound dogs.
