I have several thoughts.
1. make videos. Take squirrel hunting. Do your research talk to old-timers yada yada. Then do squirrel call tests. Talk about different techniques. Like looking on stumps to find eaten acorns and how the size of the hole is similar to the size of the squirrel. Easy ways to tan hides. Best way to clean. Sorting squirrels. How to cook them. DON'T TRY TO SELL PRODUCTS. Sell videos on e-bay. (on second thought don't I'm going to)
2. People in foriegn countries want to hunt. Take Korea there is hunting but only by the politically powerful. Get everything set up so they can come to the states during deer season. Go to the local college find an interpreter and build a website. Charge 10 grand take care of rifles, flights, permits, serve them wild game, give them shooting lessons, lots of pictures, if they get their deer early take them to a skeet range, or an ipsc competition, let them play with guns. Don't forget the Chinese. Bring interpreter along maybe even train interpreter and give them 300 dollars. With a long season you work for a couple of months. Keep your real job and eventually you have a reputation, land and an army of interpreters.
3. Shoot animals and (check laws) stuff them and rent to lodges and what not that need dead animal ambiance.
4. I once made a squirrel skin rug (I love hunting squirrels most fun a man can have whith his pants on). I felt lined it I cut a foam ball in the shape of a head and then put googly eyes on and shoved it in where the head should be. I showed my friends and everyone wanted one.
Well, that is all I could think of in five minutes for 3 grand I will think of more
Hell for ten grand I'll do the research on the laws get the permits build the website find you an interpreter and someone to rent land from.

I have a coworker whose husband is a full time guide. We live right next door to the largest military post in the world. He was granted the necessary permits and paperwork to guide hunters in the wilderness. As the hunting seasons change, he makes sure that he updates his permits. He started advertising in the classifieds. What started out as one or two hunting trips per month, turned into a daily thing. Especially during deer season.
