These two are not highly compatible. Depending on the area.
If you have a long line pug or yorkie with good lines of the top
stars then they make a comedic team. That is what busts
the show up at first. This is a rare yet potential team. In one
example, at kennel the pug out in the range is a good move.
The pug will readjust to eating later, and the mom's dog is
likely to be less exercised and handled. Make an effort to
change gloves, papers, collars, I would get some nice ones
that are fun to see for the pug. The pug personal quality is a
top companion and yorkies are buds, quite protective, so let
the yorkie do the talking but play the pugs favorite radio.

If the yorki hasnt been around other dogs and its his house he may be afraid of is just because he doesnt know what it is. Some dogs will protect their territoy while others are more than willing to just give it up without a fight and go on its marry way. Do a slow introduction, dont traumatize him by forcing him to come up to the pug. Maybe take them both for a walk, you walk your pug and your mom walks the yorki and let them get used to eachother , it will just take time. Its normal for some dogs to show fear with new situations

I have a Yorkie, and she's absolutely petrified of all dogs up close. She was even scared of a teacup chihauhau. =/ It might take time, but the Yorkie might evenutally become comfortable around the pug... otherwise, you might want to keep them seperated, because with the Yorkie's scared demeanor, the pug might become dominant and agressive towards the Yorkie.

I hope you started with a "neutral turf introduction." Which is where you introduce them in a unfamiliar setting (i.e. a park) and then return home with both together. But even if you didn't, give it time. But supervise their interaction. They will need to establish a pecking order. You might be surprised that in a few months your mom's Yorkie is running the show. It pretty common for newly introduced animals to have less than optimum reactions to one another. Just don't force it and make it as pleasurable for both of them as it can be. Good luck!
