I have a nasty burn. The blister that formed popped prematurely and the skin got ripped off. Now I have an even worse raw area where the burn was. How shoud I care for this? How long will it take to heal?

It sounds like you have a 2nd degree or "partial thickness" burn. The key to partial thickness burns is that they will usally heal with a bit of discoloration but otherwise not much of a scar.

That is, if it doesn't turn into a full thickness wound either through infection or drying/cracking (which can lead to infection).

The skin is a great natural dressing to keep the underlying skin protected and moist. Unfortunately, your overlying skin is gone. Therefore you must do your best to keep it from getting infected or becoming dried and cracked. We usually slather burns with an ointment called Silvadene, and then cover the area with a clean dressing to keep it clean. That works great if it is a rather large burn (over 2% - or the area covered by two palms).

If it's a smaller burn located in a relatively clean area (away from your privates, or feet/hands) then good old aloe-base lotion should do just fine.

Make sure your tetanus is up to date.

get some tinature of benzoine. It will sting a little to a lot when you put it on, but it will immediately start to toughen the skin and cut off air from the exposed nerve endings reducing long term pain. I use this on my soccer players, I even put it on them before the blister breaks opens and it is almost healed by the time the top skin comes off.
Good luck, you should be able to get it at a drugstore

NO! If you holiday open a blister it's possibly you'll get an contamination from starting it up. Leave it on my own and it'll beak on it is possess, after which start to heal. Don't do something till after it breaks. After it breaks, permit it dry a few, after which observe a few antibiotic ointment to it and a bandaid, and depart it on my own. Change it after a bath or tub. After a couple of days while it is had time to begin to dry up and scab over, take the bandaid off and permit the air begin to dry it and heal it. You is not going to holiday open blisters. Infections from it is extremely dangerous. Take care, and well success to you!
