Thailand has a rainy season - July to October (about). Monsoons rarely affect Thailand because of its geographical location - those coming from the east, as most do, tend to poop out in Vietnam and are stopped by the mountains there. That said, there have been some typhoons to hit Thailand, most noteably Chumpon province about 15 years ago. But all and all, monsoons and typhoons are not a problem.

The monsoon seasons occur during July of every year.
July is one of the highest rainy period season in Thailand.
And the monsoon season stretched from July to October.
I happened to travel in July to Bangkok this year and I was totally drenched when I'm out shopping and on sight-seeing because it rains so often and almost daily. So remember to bring your umbrellas along if you're going on a trip to Thailand during this period.

From about mid April through October and into November a bit, the predominant wind direction on the Malay Peninsula is from the southwest. For the rest of the year, the wind shifts to coming from the northeast.

September - wet and wild... awesome sunsets and rainbows!
This is the wettest month of the year by far. There are frequent storms. However, there are still plenty of clear days. The rains are often heavy with very strong winds at the start of the front. Line squalls occur during this period. The rains aren't necessarily all day long. Many days have brief showers or no rain at all.
