Recently began to explore my faith a little deeper and I'm looking for some interesting books on religion, other than the bible. Maybe something that helps prove the existence of Christ?

These are two books that were written by Atheists who set out to prove that Jesus does not exist. Eventually after they did the research, they concluded that Jesus was God and that he does exist. Both are now well-known Christian authors and speakers. The two books are:

"The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel

and

"Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh MacDowell.

I'm with the first poster on this one. It's an excellent book, and you don't want to be the type to wear blinders and ignore one whole side of the issue, do you?

Also, there is no book proving the existence of christ, sorry. The only (cough) proof that such a man ever existed is the bible, and it's hardly credible, since it's written by men, more than 40 years after the death of the so called Jesus by the way ... has had more than 600 books omitted that they didn't want you to see, is full of mistakes, contradictions and errors, and was written and compiled with an agenda.

If you're looking for proof of Christ to substantiate your belief, you might as well declare atheism now. There is none.

Excellent - a growing Christian.
a) If you would like to know more of the Bible's background/meaning, including that of the "Christ" or Messiah, I especially like Wm. Barclay's Bible Commentary.
b) Max LaCado is a good read.
c) There is nothing that proves the existence of Jesus. They recently cracked 325 AD in Rome and there are scraps of the OT from the Dead Sea Scrolls cf. 500 BC. Historical data is non-existent.
d) Check out the best seller list for Christian books. They can help you winnow the wheat from the chaff.

If you are looking for a book to help you deepen your faith you can read books such as The Journey by Billy Graham. If you are wanting a book to prove existence read The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. There is also a DVD version of that book, but I have not seen it. To help you read the bible select a bible companion guide such as The Illustrated Everyday Bible Companion by George W. Knight and Rayburn W. Ray. All of these books are great and there are many more out there. Check out your local Christian bookstore or go to Familychristian.com for more choices. God bless!

The Bible is pretty much the best. Try the Case for Christ or The Case for Faith

Seriously the Bible IS the best book out there.

"Rock Solid Faith-How to Build It" and "Rock Solid Faith - How to Sustain It" (Both available from Apologetics Press.)

I also highly recommend "Undenominational Christianity" by J. N Armstrong. Originally written about 1915. It was re-published recently by Truth for Today in Searcy, Arkansas. It is a small and very inexpensive book, but it is full of truth in plain easy to understand language. The Phone number to the publisher is (501) 268-7588 and their address is 2209 S. Benton St., Searcy, AR 72143
