The Nissan has the best motor, but the 3000GT looks better :)

Go the Zed all the way. I currently own a 300ZX twinTurbo manual, and have had a 3000GT VR-4 7yrs ago. (Also known as a Mitsi GTO in Japan/Australia/NewZealand) The Zed is superior in every way, but performance and reliabilty are the major players. The GTO would only be a consideration if you live in a snowbound area and plan to drive it then. With regard looks, the best Zeds in my view are "naked", with the spoilers removed, simple wheels of 17 or 18"max, only a slight lowering and no skirts. That said, a intercooler (or 2!) and/or a subtle front cone can look great. Considering these were produced in 1989 and designed in California way back in 86, they still turn heads! Plus they have a great following in car club circles, hi horsepower and RWD helps!!. Definately a classic along the lines of the E-type Jag, whereas the 3000GT is a classic along the lines of the Edsel - too much, too soon.

The 300zx is a better all around car.The 3000GT with turbo has a problem with the drive axles,it seems the axles wears off the
splines on the shafts. The axles are $985.00 ea.plus labor to replace them.It takes for every to get them.I have replaced a few of them myself. The repair runs about $3,500.00.

The Nissan doesn't have that problem. The axles seem to be taking the H/P Nissan has set up.The resale on the 350zx is far better.

The Mitsubishi loses in the reliability realm.

Overall Nissan wins in price, reliability, and specs

Mitsubishis are kinda junky

My boyfriend has had both and he likes his Nissan better but as to the better car, they are both loud, sporty cars that eat gas...so I'd suggest finding the best price and getting that one

Don't bash my happy Ford and I won't bash your Datsun.

If you don't know what a Datsun is, you don't know cars so you would be better with the Missyoubitchy.
