ok so basically the Koran says not to eat pork because the Islam started in the middle east and there is hot and the pork meat would get you sick. Now, shouldn`t this be a more cultural issue than a religious one? i mean in today`s world even the muslims that live in north don`t eat pork so why is that? the prophet said not to eat pork because of the climate not because something else, so why do muslims keep refusin to eat pork?
p.s. i`m just damn curious..

Hey dude, who told you that we dont eat pork because of the climate?
Lets analyze this.
In Islam we believe, that all lives are sacred as it is GOD who has made them. So to eat an animal, we must slaughter it in the name of GOD (as GOD is the Creator for us all). Anything slaughtered not in the name of GOD is forbidden, be it a cow or a chicken!
So now why do we insist on slaughtering? The islamic method of slaughter is to cut the juglar vein of the animal, so as to drain the entire blood. WHy?
1) When you cut the juglar vein, the blood supply is cut off to the brain, this means the pain receptors do not carry the pain to the animal. Therefore the animal does not feel the pain. It whiters because of the initial contact.
2) Blood is the main carrier for disease, so when you slaughter the islamic way, most of the blood is drained out, Therefore the meat is clean and no disease will be transferred to you.
You just cant SLAUGHTER pork the islamic way!!!
Next, your manners, your thoughts are infulenced by what you eat.
Pig is an animal who is lazy, eats crap and most of the time has sex. So if you eat pork, you dont have the enthusiasm to do work and all you think is of sex. THis is proven medically.
No remember, GOD created us all. So HE wants us only to eat things that are pure and good for our development.

Why do Muslims keep refusing to eat pork? Firstly, the Qur'an says so. Secondly, scientific research has proven that pork contains tapeworms (that are hard to kill even after the meat has been cooked many times, might I add) that cause lots of diseases, it doesn't matter which part of the world you live in.. these tapeworms live in pigs that come from America, Europe, etc.

Pork is not only prohibited for muslims in the holy qur'an but also for christians in the bible and for jews in the taurat.The holy qur'an is given by God for all humans in this world if they want to select the right path for happiness in this world and in the life after death.Pork can be raised in every part of the world not only in the countries which have 4 seasons.God prohibites us for eating bacon or pork meat because God is omni know what is the bad effect of pork.Pig is a dirty animal.Its meat has many harm worm and its fat is difficult to be digested for our health.
A pig oil contains an unsaturated fat which can give bad effect to our health according to a research.So muslims any where in this world is prohibited to eat any kind of pig including raising and trading it.not only for eating.It is not a cultural issue.

The Quran is from God and Islam is universal. It doesn't only pertain to the Middle East. It is of God's wisdom that we don't eat pork for many reasons that have come to light with recent science.

This is not cultural at all. Even modern Science has agreed to it that pork is one of the most unhealthy of all meats. One more thing I would like to say is purity and cleanliness hold a very high place in Islam and as we all know that pig is very filthy dirty and shames-less animal. Nothing personal against piggy but its true you know!

It's not just Islam that forbids pork; Judaism also forbids it. Most of those ancient laws about food were simply being practical. Pork is bad for you. I do so love eating bacon, though. I should go get my cholesterol checked...

try this out, take fresh , stik sized pig meat, ang try put some coca cola or some soda on it. you will see something that will make you know why pig is not healthy for human being.
pig is the best agent for JE desease. still want to eat this dagerous animal?
pig live in the very stinks and dirty place, it is the same if you eat some rat in the trash or garbage dumb, isnt it?
there are pigs in the middle east, just slightly not the red one. this one called boar. most of them live in the jungle near oasis,.

Pigs are a domestic animal, not a grazing animal, so the Bedoin and Jewish nomadic herders did not keep them and despised those who did. Then this distaste was insitutionalized in the holy scriptures and became dogma.
Parasites have nothing to do with it; all uncooked meat will have parasites.

its because pork can have parasites like trichosomiasis and tape worm if they are not looked after properly. .these diseases can kill you, Many middle east countries have poor hygiene because of a lack of clean water. So, pork is not a good thing. That is the Jewish reason for banning it 60 centuries ago. Besides, I read somewhere that Mohammed just didn't like pork so forbid everyone from eating it. The guy did things like that.

1- it was God that said not to eat pork not the prophet.
2- christians in the middle east eat pork and have pig farms so pigs can live in hot weather.
3- it has been scientifically proved that pork is bad for your health.
