My pediatrician says you can alternate every 4 hours. He also says do Tylenol first. If the fever gets above 102 then start alternating.

It's three hours each time. Tylenol, then three hours for the ibuprofen, then three hours again for the tylenol and on and on. My husband is a doctor and that's what he tells his patients with small children, and that's what we did with our daughter. Good luck!

What dose and how much are you giving? It really should be 4-6 hours apart for any pain reliever/fever reducers. Why are you giving both ibuprofen and tylonel? I would stick to 1 reliever every 4-6 hours.

dude.... call a pharmacist! this is your child! don't ask random people on the internet! it is like flipping a coin on your child's well-being! so, call a pharmacy & talk to the pharmacist to find out what they know from their years of education.

you should read the bottles & instructions, too.
