Its actually a holiday from paganism, and I choose to recognize Hanukkah, as Jesus did.
He was born during the Jewish feast of booths in october.
Blessings,
David

Hypocrisy alert!!
Christmas and Easter aren't christian holidays either, so I suppose you shouldn't be celebrating them either, lol. Easter and Christmas were both taken from the pagan religion by christianity in order to try to lure pagans into their religion. Easter has been celebrated since 2400 BC, for example. Your Jesus wasn't even born on December 25th, but sometime in the spring, according to your very own bible.
Learn your facts before you try to appear sanctimonious.

Since Constantine there are no christian Holidays. Note Sunday was installed as the worship day in order to unify his kingdom. Christians could worship the rising of the Son of God, while the sun worshipers worshiped the rising of the sun. Our creator recommended that we not forget the Sabbath day, the last day of the week, but man has chosen the first day of the week

Halloween is actual a Christian hybrid of a Pagan holiday. The Pagan holiday "All Hallows' Day" grow to be an afternoon of non secular festivities in particularly some northern ecu Pagan traditions, till Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the previous Christian banquet of All Saints' Day from would 13 (which had itself been the date of the pagan banquet of the Lemures) to November a million, the day of "All Hallows' Day". at that element, the holiday journeys have been celebrated on the comparable day, even with the undeniable fact that now "Halloween" (which grow to be the hybrid-holiday result, the call of that's based on the Pagan "samhain") is nicely known a million day till now on October 31, leaving November a million as entirely "All Saints Day". lots of the symbolism now linked with Halloween has stemmed from previous pagan traditions, city legends, persons memories, and hollywood's exaggeration of blood, guts, ghosts, and monsters. Christians that don't celebrate Halloween accomplish that by way of fact of this is pagan roots, thoroughly oblivious that's grow to be the Pope who initially set the point in action to create the pagan/Christian hybrid holiday that finally grew to become accepted as "Halloween". upload: Halloween because it particularly is nicely known in the present day bears little resemblance to All Hallows' Day.

But...you took holidays that originally belonged to others...so quit your complaining.
And btw, us non believers would not even be celebrating it in the first place if YOU all didn't start up traditions that belonged to other peoples and commercialized it yourselves.

Amen! But try being the only mom excluding your kids. Do you know how many people ask my children if they're going to get a lot of presents from Santa? It's annoying! I feel like telling them that "Santa's" taking donations! Hello? Single mom here? I had to drag that frickin tree in by myself. It fell on me twice! It was actually kind of funny....but still!

Yep, and here in America, Christian's ruined my money. Back in the Fifties with that whole, "In God we Trust" bit. They also ruined Jefferson's memorial by taking one of his quotes out of context. What a world.
