By attending all classes and paying attention to the lectures, doing and turning all assignments on time, and passing the midterm and final exams for each semester. This may require you spend less time playing around on the internet and using its resources for research and actually learning something.

I think the key to being a successful college student is preparation. I know it sounds cliche, but trust me on this one. Keep up with your reading assignments, attend class, and try to engage in class discussion. Even more importantly, always remember that the sooner you begin prepping for your exams, the better you will do. Sometimes it is hard to get yourself to sit down and try the work, but I always trick myself by telling myself that I only have to study for one hour. The hardest part is just starting and I usually find that once I sit down and start working I have no problem continuing. Finally, try to maintain a healthy life style. Eat right and get plenty of sleep. Enjoy time with your friends and be sure to treat yourself with some rest and relaxation. You deserve it for working so hard!

Study harder than you did in high school, and prioritize. If you need help, get it up front - don't wait until its too late and you're on the verge of finals. Also, try to keep a regular eating/sleeping schedule if possible -- it does no good to live off of soda and doughnuts. You won't have energy, and will burn out too quickly. Good luck!

everyone's answers are correct. it's harder in college. no one babies you, no one tells you what to do or reminds you when this or that is due. you HAVE to study - there's no getting around it. avoid cramming [though sometimes it's better than nothing]. partying might be fun but TRUST ME it's not fun for long, so study. school taking over your life might suck but there are still the weekends. you'll eventually find a way to balance it. time, patience, & self-discipline are all you need. you'll see in time it's worth it !
