Well, insects in this year will be more resistant to pesticides, making crops an easy target for these superimmune insects. Monsanto will be there, creating genetically engineered crops that can resist attacks from insects, as well as pesticides with new mechanisms for disrupting the pest insect life cycle.

No one really knows for sure. Insects have grown resistant to pesticides over the years and now with pest resistant crops being grown,it is still too early to say and by the time scientists find out,it may be too late.
