Airplane or Helicopter? Mauna Loa Helicopters is a good school and they recently got a Cessna 172 and a fixed wing instructor, so you can do either there. There are also several other fixed wing schools in Hawaii but MLH is the only helicopter school and the only one I have experience with. Good luck!

id say skip the engineering and go st8 to aviation. it take a great deal of hours which translates years u start at 25 you may not make it to airline pilot. remember it takes 5-6 years to get an aviation degree. by that time ur in your 30's youd still have like 15-18 years of flying but less of a pension where as joe blow whos been flying since he got his liscence at 18 then was a commercial by 23 has a greater retirement package. good luck either way to you

I don't know of any places but if you check aopa.org and/or faa.gov, I'm sure that you'll find something. Also, go to your local FSDO; they certainly would have information!!
