Just the other day, I was going to say something but when it came out, the word was completely irrelevant and really embarrassing. The person I was talking to started laughing. Now, about 2 days later, I still keep thinking about it and I'm still really embarrassed. Has this happened to anyone? How and what do you do to get over it?

Yep i have blurted out a word i didn't mean to say..
Only thing is i really meant what i said..
I just didn't want to say it out loud because it would have hurt her feelings.

I do feel truth should be spoken to people but sometImes it can be a little too in your face..

I try and watch what i say now im older..

A long time ago, in Blockbuster video I was searching for a movie, but could not think of the name of it. An African American woman was looking there by me too and I commented that I was looking for a new release with Morgan Freeman and after explaining what the movie was about she said "You mean Samuel L. Jackson" I said "Oh, Yeah, they all look the same" I could have died and didn't even mean it, nor have any idea why I said that! PS I love both actors mentioned.

Oh my gosh have I ever. We were at a funeral home the day before Hollooween and I was going to keep some children so they could go trick or treating. And this one teenage girl said she liked holloween So big mouth me said Well you have to take off your mask if you come with us. I mean have your ever heard such a thing I couldn't believe it came out of my mouth. I made some excuse for saying it and haven't forgot it since. Lesson Think what you say before you say it.

You are human, yes? LOL Of course, we have all done something so silly...and the only reason you can't get it off your mind is that you do not see the humor in humanity. It's times like this one, that you have to absorb the lesson (brain in gear before mouth is engaged), have a few giggles--especially with the person you had the experience with--and move on. Trust me, this will not be the one & only moment of embarassment--learn to laugh at yourself, just like you do with others...we are a comical bunch, are we not????

Ahhhh yes .. . and there nothing you can do ... try to relax and forget about it. I am sure the person is not thinking about it at all. Think back in life hasn't anyone said something weird or strange to YOU ??? Do you really give it more than a few moments thought???
I can almost promise with time you will find your own mistake very funny or amusing.

How about introducing your new boss, Mr Pettis as Mr. Penis at a luncheon with about 200 people with their chins on the floor.

I immediately left, had my office cleaned out before the luncheon was over, and sent a letter to H.R. and asked them to mail my final check

The other day I was asking my husband if he remembered the last time we went to the zoo. He said no, and I said yes you do. I kept going on and on about our visit... then I remembered I went with my last boyfriend a few years before we met. I finally said, i wasn't with you, was i? He said nope.

Doh I felt really silly

I had a bad habit of making comments about fat people around a larger relative of mine. She never said anything to me but immediately afterwards I realized how insensitive that was. I guess my subconscious was at work there because I wasn't doing it intentionally. Now I'm pretty careful about what I say around her.

My sister has tourette's, so she randomly says embarrassing things all the time. Like in church the other day, she shouted, "Motherf*cker Word of the Lord."
