Puffiness in the eye area can be a sign of toxins in your system but is more often than not, related to dehydration, if you keep your hydrations levels up, by drinking the medically recommended 1-2 litres of water a day, you'll find that they'll lessen over time.

In terms of treating them now, coolness applied to the area will temporarily reduce the puffiness. I recommend used chamomile tea bags; you simply put the tea bag into a cup or on a piece of foil in the chill compartment of your fridge (not freezer) and take it out whenever you feel the need. This works very well, not only because of the coolness but also because of the detoxifying and soothing properties of the tea itself.

If, after trying this and maybe even trying some creams (haemmaroid creams and anti-wrinkle creams etc.) you find that you still have bags under your eyes, it may be that you are genetically predisposed to the condition. If that is the case the only real long term remedy is surgery- to either fill a collapsed area of skin or remove the bags altogether.

But always try the basic remedies before going the surgery route.

Good Luck.
:)

There are special creams at the dept. store beauty counters. But a quick fix is to GET SLEEP! and DRINK WATER and avoid alcohol - puffs the eyes up superbad. In the morning, put something cold and soft on your eyes, like a chilled gel eye mask, or even some thinly sliced, chilled cucumber slices. Or even some cold water in a ziploc bag, and lay down for about 10 minutes, letting all that coolness depuff.

undereye dark circles ? hyperpigmentation and blue blood vessels are the main cause of dark circles . to fade discoloration and shadows apply a mixture of anti-puffiness eye cream with a skin lightener that contains hydroquinone and alpha hydroxy acid every night . skin lighteners are too strong to apply directly to delicate undereye skin , u have to use the eye cream to balance it out . if its just under eye puffiness fluid retention is the most likely culprit . prevent it by drinking extra water after eating salty foods or alcohol and sleep with ur head elevated on pillows . fight future loss with sunscreen . and if u wake up with bags , gently massage from the inner eye corners out to increase flow . also try light serums with diuretics .
