Maybe at five years old (idk) hes using reverse psychology on you and thinks that if "he" is away from you then something bad will happen to him. Sort of reinforcing the fact that he feels the most safe around his mommy!!

Some kids are way sensitive, and you might try to find out what makes him think that. Don't ask him while he's in a panic mood, but when he's calm and relaxed, and not when you're about to leave him. It will be difficult to get "inside his head" but see how much he can articulate to you about what exactly it is that he's thinking.
My 16-year-old actually is somewhat the same way. I had an episode of heart palpitations a while back and ended up staying home from work because of it, and my son threw up on his way to school, so he had to come home and spend the day with me. He didn't say it, but my husband said he could tell it's because he was nervous about what was wrong with me.
It's a good thing if a boy can be a little bit sensitive, but if it's interfering with your and his quality of life, then maybe you can do some exploring to see what's causing it, and what you can do to alleviate the little guy's fears.

Awww thats so cute! LoL sorry but it is he loves his mommy. I think you need to explane to him that mommy will be fine and keep doing this he loves you and is worried about you this won't last for long so enjoy the fact that he shows he loves you now.

That's pretty normal, but he still needs to know that its OK to be apart from you. Maybe you could call him during the day to say Hi! and relieve some of his anxiety.

he's just a little anxious, seperation anxiety is normal... just reinforce (with all your power) that nothing bad is going to happen by making him go away from you and showing him that nothing bad happened to him

Make sure you talk to him and reassure him before you leave that you will be back.
Try giving him something of yours to hold onto while you're gone, and he can give you something of his. That way he'll know for sure you'll be coming back to exchange your things.

Sounds like you allow your child to watch television channels that aren't in his age group.

I hate it when people ask these question and don't even bother to provide details.
How do you expect people to answer this with the limited information you have given?
