see a dermatologist. They will take it off in the office and send it to pathology to get examined. If it is a freckle, it could just be a zit behind it, but don't mess with it, let the doc. determine what it is.

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/820lm

my doctor always asks me about my moles, of which i have plenty. the question is always if there has been any change in them. Yes, first sign of something wrong. but then maybe it itched and you scratched it without realizing it. Myself, i would go and have it checked out if it didn't heal up mighty fast.

It sounds like it's infected. Try soaking it in hot water (use washcloths if you don't want to soak your entire leg).
The symptoms of infection are swelling, redness, soreness, streaks, pus, and I think one more that I can never remember. Not all infections include all symptoms.

Anytime you have some marking on your body that changes all of a sudden, you should get it checked by a dermatologist.
