I have a doctors appointment tomorrow (Nurse does it I guess) and I have to get a shot in my a**.
Does it hurt? What's it like?
Also how is it given (Ie: What's the procedure like)? Standing or laying, etc.?

Before you get the shot, just ask the nurse to give you a novocaine enema. This will numb you so the shot won't hurt.

You lay down on the table, and they wipe ur *** cheek with alcohol and then they stick the needle in, and if your tense, and expecting it, it will hurt like hell and leave a bruise, but if you relax, it will pinch a bit and then its over...

depends on the needle. my wife got one in the bum with a very long and it hurt for months. with a short needle, it won't hurt...maybe jsut burn for a little bit.
ask them to use the short one! :)

it is usually standing up and it does hurts depending on the person that gives it .
