Tattooing is in no way a modern day train. Tattoo-bearing Egyptian and Libyan mummies were discovered that date again hundreds and hundreds of years earlier than the time of Christ. Tattooed mummies have additionally been discovered in South America. Many of the tattooed photos have been straight concerning the worship of pagan gods. According to researcher Steve Gilbert, “the earliest recognized tattoo that's a snapshot of some thing, as an alternative than an summary sample, represents the god Bes. In Egyptian mythology Bes is the lascivious god of revelry.” The Mosaic Law forbade God’s folks to tattoo themselves. Said Leviticus 19:28: “You need to now not make cuts to your flesh for a deceased soul, and also you need to now not positioned tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah.” Pagan worshipers, such because the Egyptians, tattooed the names or symbols in their deities on their breast or fingers. By complying with Jehovah’s ban on tattoo markings, the Israelites might stand out as extraordinary from different international locations. While Christians in these days don't seem to be underneath the Law of Moses, the prohibition it laid on tattooing is sobering. (Ephesians two:15) If you're a Christian, you might without doubt now not desire to make markings to your frame, even quickly, that smack of paganism or fake worship.

Problem with tatooes is that they are permanent.

You may find that the tattoo closes doors for you. It's nice that you would want to be putting Jesus on you, but I can't imagine God wanting us branded.

Hey if it is ok to chop off a baby boy's foreskin its perfectly fine to get a tattoo. God is fine with altering the body.

The bible also says in Deut 22:28-29 that if a man rapes a woman he must pay her father 50 sheckles of silver and marry her.

Does your mom go for that also?

I doubt God wants people stuffing Big Macs down their throats either, but look at all the fat *** christians who have no problem with that. Be a man and do what you want. It's between you and God, and on one else.
