Personally, I think it makes more sense that God be a woman since God is the supposed Creator of Life and so caring/compassionate.

If god exists then god would be an entity, or a spirit. not a particular sex like a male or female.

When I think of a Creator, I think Feminine. It was an important part of what led me to the early Celtic concept of deity. As a nature worshiper I am drawn to Mother Earth as well. Brigidh, Morrigu, Flidais... there are many wondrous Goddesses in the Irish Pantheon.

Not that I deny masculine deity - I am male after all, but I feel a stronger connection with the Goddess. I like to see me deity as compassionate and a giver of life and bounty... sounds like a mother to me.

The Godhead is actually comprised of a balance of two--male & female, just as life here is, for the most part...a grand duality, each incorporating their specific talents as a common creative force.

God, the male, is pure logic, absorbing all knowledge gained by His pieces away (us). Godess is the emotional side--the protector, the nurturer. Both are the co-creators of our beingness....our Home and our places away. Both are experiencing themselves to their fullest through our being & our experiences...this is what love truly is.

I don't believe a sex should be assigned to God. Although Wiccans believe in a god and godess, being there is a male/female aspect to everything on earth.I also follow this belief.

Neither corruptible man or corruptible woman (which both are considered "man")

Rom.1
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

he is not a gender, he is a spiritual being that represents both sexes...remember the bible says man (meaning mankind) was made in god's image....so male and female are in his image. i think most recognize him as a male because its easier and the translation of man seems to imply a male persona although it never says in any biblical text that god is a man. he is referred to as father and such but that is more akin to a label of leadership. kind of like calling a car a 'she', it doesn't make it a female.

I think that God is a man because Jesus always referred to him as Father. But I have nothing against females because to me a person is a person.

I think God is a male, and is married to a Goddess. If he created Adam and Eve as a couple, and is pro-marriage and pro-family, he must be practicing what he preaches.

It says in the Bible that we were made in God's image, meaning we look similar to God. But God is God (imortal) and has no male or female sex organs because he is not human.
