While Miss Manners says it isn't all that bad to be rude to a telemarketer, I think suggesting suicide is over the limit. I usually tell them to find a job that doesn't entail bothering people.

yes it would be but since you are not looking at the person i think u can get away with it. plus it fun and they usually deserve it so i am willing to bet somewhere that there is a loop hole allowing it. better idea start hitting on them and b totally vulgar especially if its someone of the same sex. just get worse and worse till they hang up on you! have fun.

If you give genuine empathic advice, including quick and easy methods of despatch, I really don't think you have anything to reproach yourself with.

No, because they are just doing their job. You should tell it to the owners of the business. Always direct complaints and insults to ownership. Don't take it out on the help.

well, yes. think about it. i don't think this telemarketer WANTS to call you, but has to, because it's part of their job. it's just a salesman calling to see if you're interested. it's not that big of a deal.
