The Python Programming Language Python is a dynamic object-oriented programming language that can be used for many kinds of software development. It offers strong support for integration with other languages and tools, comes with extensive standard libraries, and can be learned in a few days. Many Python programmers report substantial productivity gains and feel the language encourages the development of higher quality, more maintainable code.

Basically it extends the function of some of the software program.

But you can take it off. It won't do no harm.

It is a scripting language. It is used to automate tasks on the computer. If the computer is an HP, it probably came with Python. Also, if the computer is an HP, it is used as part of the tools that HP installs on computers (the custom HP tools, such as diagnostics). If you use the custom HP tools, you should not remove python.

You certainly can remove it.

It is a programming langauge and environment. It is used a lot in open-source communities, but the average Windows user has NO use for it.
