Right now I am basically in desperate need of a boy in my life. What are some tips that you can give me to find and get myself a boy??

1) yes i have tried talking to guys im attracted to thank you. but im really shy and i'm not good at approaching ppl
2) I would join one of those online dating things but like, i don't want to get raped....

First of, don't be desperate. Boys can sense desparation and will be turned off. It's totally true that boys prefer the chase. Except in some very rare cases, boys prefer someone who's comfortable with themselves, and content to be single. Someone who will make them jump through a couple hoops to get them.
Just be comfortable with who you are. Believe yourself to be attractive, flaunt your best qualities and don't try to be something you're not. If you have a crush on a guy who only dates cheerleaders, and you're on the math team, either forget him, or show him your good qualities. If he doesn't get it, or is too shallow to date someone who doesn't fit his exacting criteria, HE'S NOT WORTH IT.
Actually, keep that in mind most of the time. Boys are generally not worth the trouble. Out of all the boys you know, probably only two or three are worth your time. You need to remember that and not chase the others too heavily.
Be content with yourself, learn to make yourself happy, and others will be attracted to them. Sophia Loren (I think) once said that "No man will notice a few wrinkles under your eyes if you have twinkles in them," and it's true. If you're happy and content with who you are, it shows and that makes you more attractive.

NEVER BE DESPERATE FOR A BOY/MAN/RELATIONSHIP. Dear, I have seen too many women be co-dependent an stay in bad, unhealthy relationship because they are afraid of being alone. You are a strong, beautiful person on the inside, allow that strength to grow outward and feel good about yourself. Then, date the Navy if you choose - just do it for the thrill and not a desperate need.

You don't NEED a boyfriend! As a matter of fact, stay away from boys until you feel you WOULD LIKE one, NOT need one!

expand your social circle by going to churches,pubs,community centres anything!!!If you are in school, join camps or any school activities to know more people and talk, socialize, mingle with them...soon you will find the chosen one....
