Just looking at me and my boyfriend and guy friends I'd have to say yes. I'm terrified of unexpected, loud noises.

Not those who have kids. They are always hearing loud, unexpected noises from the kids!

i'm not so sure it has to do with sex as it does just each person in general. i don't startle easily (especially since i've had kids) but loud noises bother me. i don't like them can't say they scare me anymore though. so i think it's more of an individual thing than it is a gender thing.

Yes. Men are more coordinated so they react with less panic because coordination provided a couple seconds of extra thought.
