Marriage and immigration to Canada?

I am a Canadian citizen and am looking to get married with a Brazilian. The idea is for her to move here (Canada). I know the process takes time and have already looked into the paperwork. What I haven't managed to figure out is if it's better for her to come here and get married here, or if it's better to get married in Brazil, or if it doesn't make a difference. Also, I know the process is lengthy, but is there any special visa that she can come to Canada on in the meantime, or would I just apply for a regular tourist visa or something like that? Thanks in advance for any help.

I went to Canada from the US on the in canada app. never again. do not make her suffer this way. it is a horrible program.

Go there get married. There are special spousal rules that the immigrant grops the govt funds lie to you about. I am looking into becoming a cn immg expert after the info the govt gave me.

She will have no right to work, no right to medical care free from the govt you will have buy ins or pay for her care and a dr or walk in clinic will cost you 45 a trip. an er visit will be about 200. unless you are poor enough to access one of the few low income places for immigrants.

she will have no legal rights. this is inhumane to me. shame on Canada!

if you love her do the right thing and sponsor her from out of canada. that way she gives up nothing for possibly nothing.

No. Marriage to a Canadian citizen does not give you citizenship.
