use a telfa pad with the neosporin instead of a bandage if you really need to cover it
it won't stick to the wound
the best thing is to keep it clean and dry and exposed to air

Don't put a bandage on it, and use Hydrogen Paroxide on it, that cleans it well. Apply it to a cotton ball and hold it to elbow for a few minutes. Then you can put some Neosporin on it and leave it open - that allows it to breathe. When you put a bandage over it, the skin becomes soggy because there isn't very much oxygen getting to it, and it is damp from the Neosporin. That just keeps softening up the wound and doesn't allow it to heal very well.
If you want to cover it with anything, put a Gauze Pad over it, and tape it at the edges (There is white First Aid tape you can buy). The gauze pads are good for this type of thing, because they have little holes in them to let the air get through, and the skin shouldn't stick to them either.

You should let it get some air so it can form a good scab. Take the bandage off for a few days.

There are non stick bandages.....and since you are not allergic to neosporin continue to use it with or without a bandage to let a scab form......unless......
you are diabetic then go to a doctor immediately, injuries that are minor in other people are very serious in a diabetic patient

if you don't work in a particularly dirty environment, and this wound is not very deep (a scratch or an abrasion) then you should apply a little bit of nesporin, but no bandage, otherwise just leave the bandage on for longer, a week maybe, your skin should be fully healed by then.

Don't put anymore antibiotic ointment on it. Just clean it with soap and water and then just let it air out. It'll get a scab and will begin the healing process.
Oh, and don't put anything on the scab, either. Don't pick at the scab or pull it off. Let it come off on it's own.

I would try to leave the bandage off for a while so it can dry.

When I had a wound my doc told me not to use neo. He said more people have reactions to it then it helps. I would clean it and not cover it for a while to let the air get to it and let it scab.
