the egg has to be inside of a cube that is 6inches tall and wide
and can not weigh more than 60g
nothing extra can be done to the egg it has to be a regular grade a
items can be used inside of the cube (ex.) cotton but the weight has to still be 60g or less

try building your cube of of light weight material.. say bubble wrap. Use a form to make several cubes and to sure you get it right for each trial ( you did not say it had to be rigid.. then fill it with syrofoam peanuts) and drop. it should work can you do anything to the outside of the cube (convex the sides to create wind resistance and slow it down more)?

I made one with crumbled up paper, normal drinking straws and masking tape that lasted a two story drop. The straw and tape holds the egg in pace and the crumbled paper takes the force of the fall. The only thing is, it has to land on the paper. I won my contest with it by the way. :)
