First of all let me give you the 411.
I live in waianae, Hi. And i am 15 years old. I am what you call a beach bum, I LOVE the beach. I go surfing almost everyday, i just love the ocean.
Well, my problem is that i just recently got a boyfriend. He always wants me to call him and spend time with him, lately i've been missing my usual surf sessions just to see him.
This whole week i have been telling him that i was busy and i was going to the beach to surf w/ my dad and he gets mad at me.
Do you think i should break-up with him. I mean he's cool and all but if he wont let me do the things that i love then whats the point right?? Idk...
plus, i can't take him surfing with me cuz' he only bodyboards. I just want to surf, i dont want to deal with him always getting on my case.
I tryed taking him with me to the beach once and he effin' got all bent out of shape cuz' i wasn't payin' n-e attention to him. i dont know what to do.

not sure how long you have been with him, but he seems very klingly and controlling. you gotta tell him that your relationship is important, but it's not the only thing in your life.. tell him you need space and you need time to do the other things that matter in your life.

What i think you should break up coz he can't accept what you interested in. Secondly he does not respect your decision. Spending time with your dad is good thing cause family bonding is important than love relation. Family always came first. Good luck

You can't give up what you enjoy to be with any guy. So, yes, it sounds like it is a waste of your time. And, yes - it's time to break up with him.
Maybe you can find some guy that you get along with, and enjoys surfing too.

he sounds too needy dont change your lifestlye at such a young age to comfort someone else i bet if he had things to do with his friends he wouldnt blow them off for you if i were you i'd tell him i just want to enjoy myself right now so i think we should just be friends i dont need someone trying to control my life.
