My best friend, Melanie, likes this guy at our school. She is his type in EVERY WAY! Anyways, today her "other" best friend, Lisa, emailed her a convo and it basically said that the guy likes Lisa and not Melanie. She believes her, but I dont! What advice do you have for her?

Tell your friend to observe how he acts around Lisa. If he seems like he likes her, then I guess he does. However, if she cant really tell, tell her to ask directly, "do u like Lisa?" and if he says, y do u ask? then she can say, "she's my best friend, and I need to knoe."

Yeah that is backstabbin bcuz if Lisa was a true best friend she would have never showed Melanie that convo if she knew that Melanie liked the boy . If u dont believe her just tell Melanie how u feel about the situation and maybe she will see it from ur point of view or maybe u could become friends wit the boy to figure out which one of the girls he really likes and that will solve the whole problem

Yes that totally is backstabbing! Lisa is probably just jealous of Melanie. I have had something like that happen to me but that was only because they were jealous of each other. That might be the case here. I am not sure but you should consider it.

your friend is young still.....and the other girl is young.....but this does not make it right for Lisa to start stuff whether or not it is true. If your friend really likes this guy she needs to talk to him and find out from him.....Lisa might be jealous and just being vicious to hurt Melainie. BUt if it is true...then Melanie needs to realize that God has everything under control even when it comes to boys.

HUH? A man would tell a her himself, never believe anything from a third party even IF it is true, always get it from the horses mouth! (So to speak) She could just ask him if he likes her, and that would solve everything.
Besides, just to let you in on something, sometimes a guy will tell a girl that he likes her and not another when he thinks that she is easy, basically he lies to see where he can get with the other. The truth, he likes the one he would have to "work" for, but still, even if he said this, not to say this is what happened.
Also, all females know what tricks the other female play, she could have made this up because she likes him and wants the road to be clear.
