I normally wrap the lights around the whole tree...loosely so they don't pull on the tree branches. Aslo, i wrap it around the inside of the tree and pull the light out towards the front of the branches. If you have the light lay on the branches as appose to hang from them, that also helps. And if I see the wire, then I block it with a christmas ornament. Those shiny icycles work pretty well reflecting the light away from the center of the tree. Good luck!

starting at the top and gradually working downward, go from side to side about halfway between the trunk and the end of the branch (loosely!). This way, the branches and the ornaments will hide the wires, and it will be easy to stand in front of your Xmas tree and pull off the lights at the end of the season.

Make sure you get the lights with green wires and then use twist ties (the kind that come on loafs of bread) and go in and out each branch, carefully. Use the twist ties to secure the wires to the branches. I promise it looks great if you take the time to do it!

Don't leave the lights on the ends of the branches, move them back in a bit and try to hide the wiring with other branches and things.

Only on a real full tree will you be able to hide them completely.

put the lights deeper in the tree on the branches. you can pull the out to the ends and twist tie them out to the end. it will almost make it into a pre-lit tree.

You always string the lights to the back of the tree. You hang the decorations to the outside of the branches.

Lights first, then decorate.

i like to start from the back of the tree and go around in circles weaving the lights through the bough ... down one side then back to the tip.... requires lots of lights but gives it much more depth.
