I didnt know the exact reason why he doesn't eat any treats but my cat Sasha is just a picky eater. So maybe your cat is to. My cat has to smell her treat at least 5 times before she actually eats it even if she is familiar with it. Maybe since u adopted the cat, it isn't used to eating treats because from where it was before it didn't get any treats.
hope this helps...

Well this should be easy..he just doesn't like them. I'm sure they have opinions on what taste good to them and what doesn't.
Don't be pushy and if you must get him to eat a treat, might you try a bite of your own food. Such as a piece of chicken or sandwich meat. My cat likes cheese. Maybe a bite of that. Try different treats. Surely there is one he'll enjoy. Best wishes

I have a 7 yr old himmy. She has never liked treats ever. I tried lots of different brands. She only likes her dry and soft food. She has been eating the same dry/wet food her whole life!
You're better off, treats can be fattening!

I had a cat that was that way with most treats and didn't like anything but dry cat food. It's not bad for them, and it's just that they like their food a certain way and are accustomed to it. Sometimes I would take a little bit of my cat's dry food and add a sprinkle of water to it as a variety, which she didn't mind. If your cat has a good dry cat food that they eat, then it is really best for them not to alter their diets with changes, anyway.

My 3 year old female will not eat them either though the other female will. They are sisters and live together indoors 24-7. Can't tell you why but the one will eat anything you give her and the other will only eat from the food dish.
edit: She will eat yogurt for whatever reason and comes running when she hears a container being opened.

Some cats are just finicky. My cat would only eat Alley Cat cat food.
Maybe you can try another flavor of treats. They also make crunchy treats. Give those a try if you have not already.

Have you ever tried one?
If your cat loves chicken... like you do.
Why should he like processed garbage like you don't.
If you want to give your cat a treat... try some sweet oat grass or some actual egg or chicken! Now THAT'S a treat!
Those treats are cheap garbage meant to clean teeth or reduce hairballs... Sve your money and next time you pop a tin of tuna fish or mow your lawn... offer kitty some grass (if you do not use pesticides) or give him some fish oil from your tuna can.
Does the same darn thing and it is all natural!

I have three cats. Two will eat treats and one has no interest in them at all. They all also have differing tastes when it comes to other foods we may be eating (one likes flavored chips, one likes yogurt, and one likes McDonald's fries) so probably just personal taste.

My male Himalayan didn't like treats either, only dry cat food. I got some pounce and he just loves them. Have you tried them? Maybe it's because he never had treats before you got him too.
