Suppose you let Jesus in your heart, but all your loved once didn't. Which means they'll burn in Hell forever.

At that gate of Heaven, can you refuse to go inside, simply because you prefer being with your loved ones?

Since God is supposedly all knowing - I don't think he'd have you make the trip only to change your mind.

Not nearly as entertaining as the 'debriefing room' - that's the BEST...a debriefing room, if that one didn't make you laugh out loud, I don't know what will.

So I suffer this horrendous pain, am wrenched out of my body, head towards the light (cos i let Jesus into my heart), go past all these spiritual creatures who are extolling God since He really IS all that, and am drawn into the presence of this luminous, wondrous, all-powerful and loving being. I become aware that He not only gave me my loved ones, but IS the very love between us. And realise that He Himself chose hell instead of heaven for our sakes, so that me AND my family could stay in His presence for eternity. I kindof think the decision would be made soon as you look at Him.

This is a very tough thing that will happen to many people. Each of us have to decide for ourselves where our eternal home will be. If you go to Heaven but your loved ones don't, God will not let you go throughout eternity pining over them.It says in the bible that He will wipe away all tears from your eyes. You don't want to go to hell because of your loved ones, because in hell you are alone, you do not share good times with family and friends. Pray for your family now that God will spare them,by leading them to Christ.

Once you die, if you're saved, you'll go directly to heaven. You have made your choice, and since the Bible says they'll be no sorrow in heaven, what this means in part is, God will erase any memory you had of any loved ones on earth who wasnt saved. You'll never even remember them for if you did, that would cause great sorrow when you realize they aren't with you in heaven.

there is no heaven there is a de-briefing room kinda like the movie defending your life but not so dramatic......then U choose if your spirit wants to come back again to try and learn the lessons U missed again or take on something new...Oh and by the way this(earth) is Heaven &Hell.....b/c U are in control w/ your thoughts and it can get as bad (hell) as U want or as great(heaven) as you want....UR creating this reality evveryday wether U like it or not simply w/ your thoughts...... be conscious of your thoughts and maybe U can create your heaven and decide if its for U....

Yes that would count as turning you back on God. IT is more likely that your relitives are in Heaven than hell s o I would be careful of making that choice.

this is a rather unique question--i like it--let me give it a shot1
there are people in hell who have refused to accept forgiveness for their sins--they feel too bad to be able to accept forgiveness. now, i realize this is NOT WRITTEN anywhere that i know of a million readers will probably give me HELL for this answer.
here is how i know what i say is true--
when someone dies, I hear the voice of Jesus say "Talk to them for me, they are refusing forgiveness" so, i do. i ask them " did u ask for forgiveness from Jesus?--they answer Yes. I ask "didnt you belive he forgave you?--" they usualy say "at the time I did--but after I went thru the WHITE LIGHT (JESUS) I felt so unworthy of heaven--i cant go" you see these people have SELF-EXILED themselves there. there are some religions who pray for the deceased--and this is really a GOOD thing--it keeps them before God and God will talk to them and work on them to accept the forgivieness that was theirs in the first place. after I convince them to accept forgiveness--i can feel them float upward. and then i know my job is done when i hear them say "OH its SOOOO Beautiful here!" i dont know of anyone else that is called on to do this kind of thing--and i will no doubt be crucified for this answer.
I say this to your question, "YES"

sort of like Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, but of course, we ALL want to turn out like HIM, dont we?

be happy. if you would be happier in an eternity of torment with your loved ones than an eternity with God, thats your choice.

While I disapprove of you loving ANYONE more than God, I applaud your devotion/passion for the ones you love.

God would never be so unjust to someone so brave. God bless you!
