I think it's a good idea.. If things seem to be going well after breakfast you could suggest an early movie or something else fun for the day.
I think asking a girl to a movie or dinner for the first date can seem "cliche", so I'd say give the guy a shot and have some breakfast with him. See how it goes and go from there..

Well dont you like something different, whats wrong with going to, say, Cracker Barrel for a nice breakfast for a first date. Is all you think about an expensive dinner and a movie? I wouldnt see the problem in asking a girl to breakfast and then get to spend the whole day together., but thats just me I guess.

Does he work nights ? Wish I would have thought of doing that when I was going with my wife. They say that breakfast is the best meal of the day ! Go for it ! Maybe he wants to see what you look like early in the morning or to see if you are a morning person. Ask him why breakfast?

I think it's a cute idea to have a breakfast date. It's more casual, less pressure involved.

I wood never ask a girl out and taker for breakfast b/c that sounds stupid and some girls wont like that , you taking her to Ihop for the 1st deat .

maybe he's busy at night working or something, he could be trying to be different from every other guy, or he just wants to be friends.
