Very normal. Cats get anxiety about being moved ... in a week or so he will start to move around a bit but it will take a good 2-4 weeks before the cat feels comfortable about the new surroundings.

i will work out loyalty isn't your stable healthful. won't manage to you already know? She became into attacked. needless to say it is going to take the time. It hasn't even been ONE WEEK yet, and you're all waiting to offload her! the place in heaven's call is your compassion? Did you relatively think of she could come out and frolic and play as though no longer something had befell?! Are you nuts? in case you were attacked, could you sense like enjoying, relatively if your muscle tissues and joints were shaken and yanked and ached from the attack? No, needless to say no longer. how are you able to be so silly? on a similar time as she could have survived the attack and the surgeon could have suggested she has no broken bones, that does no longer mean that she did no longer get shaken up and thrown around. She's been with the aid of a demanding journey which very nearly value her her existence, and NOW she hears her kinfolk asserting they choose to offload her! as though it relatively is her fault! and then on appropriate of each thing else, there is the commotion of packing going on round her considering you and your loved ones would be leaving. That destructive cat. Do you think of she would not have eyes and ears? Do you think of she would not see and pay attention the packing and all of the variations going on interior the residing house? How previous are you?! 10? whether she hadn't already been interior the path of the attack, purely the incontrovertible fact that there is a flow bobbing up is sufficient to freak out some cats. Now upload the attack, and the whole loss of compassion and understanding and it relatively is not any ask your self she fears for her existence and what is going to happen to her. and you elect to offload her lower back on the animal shield! are you able to think of what that would do to her innovations? She could ask your self what she had executed to advantage such merciless therapy. If there became into any danger of wish for her, taking her lower back could certainly traumatize her some greater. you do no longer should have a puppy; you have not got any thought of the thank you to look after one, nor the coaching, coaching, or maybe purely hassle-free love and understanding. That destructive candy little cat. i wish to heaven sooner or later she reveals somebody someplace who will relatively love her and care approximately her and how she feels.

Give him time to adjust to his new surroundings and new smells. When you take your shirt off tonight, lay it beside the bed on the floor, slightly pushed under. This will allow the cat to get used to your smell on his own time without feeling threatened by you standing there. Give him some time with that then slowly try to introduce yourself. Go ahead and feed him in there if he won't come out even to eat. You don't want to rush him. It will happen, he's just scared. =)

Give it some time. It's been my experience that cats do not like change. Boo to the people the gave him up. Just so they could get new puppies.
The cat will know what you have done for him and will be your best buddy for years to come.

My cat hid under the treadmill, haha, for about a week. Let him get used to this new environment. Also, I'd advise against letting him outside for a month or so; so he knows that this is his home now and don't go looking for the old place.

it can take a long time for cats to get fully used to everything in its new home. it can be up to 6 months. usually it is only a few weeks to fully adjust. hiding under the bed is really normal.

i got a cat about a year ago after my eldest one died. it just takes time and stress and having another animal in the house won't exactly help that, either. don't go running after it if it comes out from hiding
