Interesting question. It would seem that way if you study the genealogy. Both appear to come down from the line of David. If so, they were quite well removed blood line wise. Besides. The conception was immaculate. Her husband had nothing to do with it. The physical laws of the universe were set aside for this to happen. A genuine miracle.

And therein lies a problem. There are two different genealogies for Joseph in the bible. Why? Because the Lord God will give Him (Jesus) the throne of His father David: And he (Jesus) will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end (Luke 1:30-33), but.... Joseph was not Jesus's biological father.

So some say one of the genealogies actually belongs to Mary (even though the text clearly states it belongs to Joseph). But according to law, no female descendent has any claim to the throne. The claim can only be passed from father to son. Even if Joseph adopted Jesus, Joseph's genealogy is not passed on through adoption.

Islam is the perfect religion.
This is what Islam teaches:

Mary (pbuh) was a virgin.
Mary (pbuh) was a pure and chaste woman.
The birth of Jesus (pbuh) was miraculous.
Jesus (pbuh) is a descendant of Abraham (pbuh)
Mary (pbuh) never married.

If the Joseph that you mention here is the Prophet Joseph (pbuh), then he lived a long time before the coming of Jesus (pbuh).
Prophet Joseph (pbuh) was one of the sons of Prophet Jacob (pbuh) also known as Israel.
Prophet Joseph (pbuh) was the ancestor of Prophet Moses (pbuh).

If I am not mistaken, then even the jews will agree with the above regarding Prophet Joseph (pbuh).

Well, if you truly believe in the Bible, we are all related. Since all of Adam & Eve's kids married each other.
