well it really depends on several things...first of all, if the person
doing the piercing is an experienced professional and does the piercing properly (without pinching any nerves or capillaries...that would be bad, really bad) there should be no problem...after that its up to you to keep the piercing clean daily for however long the healing period lasts...if you're careless it could cause serious problems but there really is nothing particularly troublesome with those three piercings....actually, they're the least painful of the piercings...i should know...of the piercings i have the most painful one was my earlobe, followed by my belly button, and the least painful and most hassle free piercing was for my tongue...
I don't known if you're asking just out of curiosity or because you might possibly be considering any of those piercings...nonetheless i hope i answered your question :D

Some people do it because it's the "in" thing right now. but i have had several piercings and still do have a fair few.
I have currently:
My tongue
left cheek
top lip
nose -septum piercing
ears
nipples
a piercing in my mouth called a smiley (so when i smile it shows)
what i have had:
my belly button
under my chin
eyebrow
beauty spot piercing
bottom lip 3x
and left side of nose... i took them out because then it was a fad for me it was me making a statement to ppl that i want to be different. I took them out also because some didn't heal and that is a risk these people take. but now the piercings i have are healed and it's apart of who i am.
Some people do get their piercings infected and thats because they don't look after them, some grow out etc etc.

They COULD get infections but if they take care of the piercing there should never be a problem.
Also, piercings are a trend for most people. They do it because they like it and for some it helps them fit in. As long as they are happy, its not really hurting anyone...so leave it be.
I like piercings for the reason that they make me feel more like me and its an accessory. Since I'm also a piercer, I'm sure you can understand (or at least grasp) my love for body modification.

The risk of infection is no greater than with anything else we do. For instance, why would you swim in a pool or other body of water when it is laden with bacteria? Why would you talk on a shared phone when if you could see the germs on it, it would freak you out? Why do people let pets walk on their bed and lick them when they just licked their butt or ate another dogs turds?
We do it out of preference and desire.

I think it is just a fad. A lot of people do it to prove that can to fit in. It is a risk and people take. People that like chance and risk do things like that. A lot of the time it is the adrenaline rush that they like. Trust me when they do it that is the least of there worries.

well they won't get infections if they clean it. and as for tongue it's very highly unlikely you'll get an infection in your tongue. saliva has natural enzymes that kill bacterias etc. they do it cause they want it done. if you pierce your ears you have the same risk for infection as you do in any other instances.

supposedly it's a fashion statement ... to me it's totally gross .. especially the tongue & lips ... I don't want someone serving me looking like that ... it's very unprofessional and gross!!
with your tongue pierced you can get aids through the mouth ... with out it you can't ... that should bring home the type of infections you can get in your mouth .. eww

thats just there style and they actually dont know if the get infection so dont worry about other people and dont get those piercings iether.

Because they think they its cool. If you ask me i think its just stupid. I think people should only have there ears peirced and thats it!!! Bottom line they are just tying to be cool.
