One who believes in God but does not think that He is in the Church or the Mosque or the Temple or any place of worship is called an agnostic; on the whole an agnostic does not believe in any existing organized religion. You could be an agnostic. You have full freedom to hold your conviction and stand by it.

I would argue that you *can* be an atheist and still think that the existence of a god or gods is possible, so long as you feel that the odds for divinity are very, very low, because, after all anything is "possible." As a parallel example, you might choose to consider the possibilty that, say, your entire life is really a computer simulation a la The Matrix (really, how can you prove it isn't?), but not actually take the idea seriously the way an agnostic takes the possibilty of God seriously. In other words, being an atheist doesn't mean you have to be a "fundamentalist" one. Does that make any sense?

Agnostic can be applied to many sciences as well as religion. I will assume you mean religion..You've not given very much information to go on, like whether you were raised in a christian home or not, whether you know about God, or not. For me it's all about faith....I believe in evolution, but where did "it" all begin? Someone, Something has to start it all, and for me that someone is God. It's a matter of faith! Now whether I believe in the dogma of religion is a totally different subject. I am spiritual in that I am ;honest, forgiving, trustworthy, kind, giving, try to take care of mother earth and all that stuff. You have to decide for yourself what you are going to believe or not believe, must you can only come to that decision after knowing both sides of the both stories. Do a lot of research; Internet, library, bible, people you respect and like-------then make a decision about how you fell, ;hence who you are......Take care, peace and love...............

Well... perhaps you think that the question of whether or not gods exist will never be answerable by humans (or just yourself).
That would make you agnostic.

Agnostics think that the existence or non-existence can never be known. Its not the same as belief or non-belief.

Agnostic is a person who doesn't see proof for a god, nor do they see proof against the existence of god. If you deny the existence of a god, your an Atheist.
